Design and logo development
The Solution:
Based on the concept described above, the logo was created from the idea of the Atlas group as a supporting foundation for growth and construction which were considered in their widest meaning. This design created with the little blue construction blocks suggests the idea of a whole in construction and development, open to new ideas and improvement.
Both the blue color and the spherical format are references to the celestial globe held by Atlas, the Titan and at the same time to the terrestrial globe where we live. The blue color is also the same used by the company in its previous logo and therefore it maintains an identity with it.
The globe is turned towards the top and to the right suggesting a forward and up movements. This is a reference to a superior result and an excellence of services provided by the company.
Finally, the blue globe also suggests that the Atlas group respects and considers the planet we live in.
The font used for the Atlas word was chosen because it gives the idea of resistance and firmness on one hand, but also flexibility in the other. This refers to the reliability and integrity of the Atlas services, without the rigidness that blocks creativity, that is incapable of incorporating new ideas, both characteristics required to succeed in the current market environment. Except for the first letter, the word Atlas was written in small letters in order to increase its legibility at any size.
One sees a yellow square at the end of the word Atlas, which represents the supporting base for construction and growth. This square is also a reference to the Atlas, the Titan, who holds the celestial sphere in his shoulders. The yellow color was chosen for its effect of expansion, rise and activity and also because this color is associated with resistance, hardness and positivity.
